We have a Controls Engineering position available in our Wilmington, MA office.
This person will support controls engineering project requirements involving PLC programming, DCS programming, HMI/SCADA programming, database management, control panel design, instrumentation specification, engineering documentation support, check-out support and commissioning assistance.
 RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires the Controls Engineer to conceptualize, detail and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery that meet our clients' requirements. This involves the development of a control system architecture, selecting the components to be used, detailing schematic diagrams and system documentation, programming controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU), programming the process visualization (HMI/SCADA), developing databases for archiving/displaying historical system data, and implementing/commissioning the control system at the client's facility.
 Knowledge of controller programming languages such as Ladder, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text and others to achieve the desired results is required. Also having knowledge of standard programming languages such as VBA, .NET and SQL for the development of HMI/SCADA systems is preferred.
For larger systems, experience with industrial networking used to connect control system components and instrumentation is preferred. The Controls Engineer may design, detail and implement a variety of fiber, wired and wireless systems using industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, etc.).
The ideal candidate must have a diverse engineering skill set with the ability to work independently. Will act as a technical contributor on projects both as part of a collaborative team and independent contributor based on the size/scope of the project. May act as technical lead on projects and guide junior engineers and technicians. Could also act as Project Manager on smaller projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets. In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place. In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired. Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time. Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 50-75 lbs. Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Repair Operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Repair Operators must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

PREFERRED SKILLS
2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast moving setting with industrial machinery.

<li>Perform and/or review daily, weekly, monthly, periodic testing such as Chemical Adjustments, Conductivity/TDS, Resistivity, Chloride Determination by Argentometric Titration, Acid Acceptance, Nitric Acid Percentage by Potentiometric Titration, Free Acid by Normality, alloy contamination by ICP, Stock Loss, Etch Rate, Hydrogen content/pick up, Stress Corrosion, pH and capability testing</li>
<li>Work with internal team and our customers to improve CP and NCM op sheets, schedules, software control, databases, data cards, set up sheets, work instructions, routers/travelers and procedures</li>

<li>Program and set parameters for Laser and EDM machines to achieve dimensional and metallurgical requirements</li>
<li>Define and document machining process flows, tooling, fixtures, and quality checkpoints</li>
<li>Collaborate with Quality and Special Process teams to meet NADCAP, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements</li>
<li>Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement in response to process deviations or quality issues</li>
<li>Select and manage suppliers or subcontractors for outsourced NCM processes</li>
<li>Train operators and technicians on safe and effective use of non-conventional machining equipment</li>
<li>Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in advanced machining</li>

Required Qualifications:

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in non-conventional machining (Laser, EDM, ECM, Chem Processing, etc.) – OR – in lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in non-conventional machining (Laser, EDM, ECM, Chem Processing, etc.)</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering role</li>
