JOURNEYMAN SECURITY ASSISTANT
WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA
SALARY RANGE: $78,000-$88,000 annually *
*depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
JOB STATUS: Full-time; salaried
CLEARANCE: Top Secret
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Security Assistant located at the Hanscom AFB in Bedford Massachusetts supporting the C3C / Kessel Run (KR) Division, which is within the United States Air Force Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) Directorate.
This support will provide multi-disciplinary security support, including aspects of information security, personnel security, operations security, industrial security, physical security, communications security and anti-terrorism/force protection duties, while also being responsive and flexible to dynamic security situations in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.
Additionally, the candidate will perform analytical, planning, advisory, operational, or evaluative work that has as its principal purpose the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance
- MUST have SIPR room experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS

Education: Bachelors's degree

Experience: 7+ years of experience in respective technical/professional discpline, three of which must be in the DoD
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Knowledge of the Information Protection Discipline to include and provide security support for collateral programs and, when required, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
- Experience with public speaking, experience conduct security training.
- Assist with security incident inquiries, investigations, reporting, and corrective action recommendation
- Industrial security: Review DD254s, Statement of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS)
- Acquisition Security: Participate in program meetings: Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Integrated Test Team (ITT) Acquisition Strategy Plan (ASP) and other program meetings as requested
- Personnel Security: Visitor Access Record (VAR), reporting requirements, fingerprinting, clearance issues/updates
- Information Security: Training, Security Classification Guide (SCG), Program Protection Plans (PPP), Incidents and reporting.
- OPSEC: Reviews, Risk Assessment and Mitigation (RAM)
- PHYSEC: Assist with physical security requirements as needed, safe movement, secure spaces, classified storage and other duties as assigned
- Disclosure: Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and others as required.
