This position is for a highly motivated individual who is interested in all aspects of industrial power generation &amp; distribution, including generators, battery energy storage and photovoltaic power systems. The position includes working in the office during design and in the field during construction support and commissioning.
The successful candidate in this position will design Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems for industrial power generation &amp; distribution projects including Microgrids for campus and/or district energy systems, and municipal scale power generation facilities. In this role, the successful candidate will also provide engineering support for utility interconnections and generator protection schemes. Typical tasks will include short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies, development of one and three line diagrams, protection schemes and reviewing designs for compliance with National Electric Code as well as other applicable standards. Other tasks also include working with vendors to write equipment purchase specifications.
The successful candidate in this position will be expected to mentor and manage younger staff engineers.
