ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Cultivation Technician will perform manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing cannabis, including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, pruning, cloning, cleaning, and transplanting. This position will report to the Cultivation Manager. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

<li>Daily care of cannabis plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants. </li>

Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the irrigation assistant are to work with irrigation leadership to ensure the performance and functionality of all equipment in and related to the water room as well as the irrigation in the flower rooms. The day typically starts with basic water sample testing, record keeping and communicating daily test results. On weekdays only, various cleaning processes are implemented to maintain the various systems used within the Water Room. Other tasks include scouting irrigation events in flower rooms, performing maintenance, as well as assisting with ongoing projects and upgrades throughout the facility. This is an unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of a hydroponics facility.
The schedule for this position is a rotating schedule 40 hours per week, 7am-5:30pm with every other weekend required!

What you’ll do as a Trimmer/Climber at Lewis:
· Be part of a tight-knit crew working in a team environment
· Perform line clearing and tree trimming duties for Lewis Tree Service’s utility customers including pruning treetops and limbs, trimming or removal of at-risk/damaged trees as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, etc.
· Climb trees and operate a bucket for trimming and removals in and above the power lines.
· Prepare, operate, and maintain all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
· Remove limbs and brush, cleanup and dispose of debris.
· Mixing and apply spray chemicals, preserving desirable vegetation
· Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the working area. Help enforce on-the-job safety practices.
What you’ll need:
· At least one year’s experience working as a Trimmer/Climber, working around utility wires.
· Knowledge of trees including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing, as applicable to working close to energized conductors.
· Experience in tree climbing, knot tying and PPE
· Ability to perform physical labor such as lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. to shoulder height or more. 
· Capable of operating two-handed equipment (chain saw, circular saw, etc.) and have the physical ability to endure extreme climate variances. 
· Willing and able to obtain specialized training and certifications as required, such as Local, state and federal licenses
· Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR cards
· Pass a pre-employment drug test and job duty skills tests

Internships in each division may vary in length depending on availability. Interns will be assigned a manager who will mentor them through a variety of job experiences within the industry. Throughout your experience, you will work on residential and commercial properties and in an office setting.

Position Overview
Trim&nbsp;and remove&nbsp;trees, remove unwanted,&nbsp;diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas&nbsp;by performing the following duties.&nbsp;
Job Duties
What You’ll Do:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Including but not limited to: &nbsp;</li>
<li>Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy&nbsp;</li>
<li>Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems &nbsp;</li>
<li>Removal of hazardous trees&nbsp;</li>
<li>Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Qualifications
What We’re Seeking:&nbsp;

<li>Love of the outdoors&nbsp;</li>
<li>Required: Valid driver's license</li>
<li>Required: Previous tree climbing experience&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire</li>
<li>Preferred: Relevant pesticide, DOT, CDL and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law</li>
