PARKS LABORER Parks & Recreation Department Town Of Hartford, Vermont The Park Laborer will serve as a team member for the Parks & Recreation Department, performing a wide variety of duties necessary to maintain all Town parks, recreational facilities and athletic fields centered around the operations of a very dynamic, diverse Nationally Accredited Parks & Recreation Agency. This is a year-round grade 3 with an hourly rate of $23.20 to $29.29,based on experience. Position is a benefited, full-time, 40hours per-week. Benefit package includes health insurance with generous HRA and $600 well-being rewards; dental insurance; life insurance; VMERS pension plan; subsidized gym membership; vacation, sick, and personal days; 14 paid holidays; $600 uniform stipend. Successful applicants will have a working knowledge of the operation of a variety of specialized commercial power equipment and resurfacing machines and an understanding of how to care for and maintain parks, athletic turfgrass, trees, courts, and many outdoor and indoor recreational facilities. High school diploma or G.E.D plus two or more years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience, from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired for this position.
