House Assistant The Opportunity MacDowell, the nation's oldest multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks a dependable and detail-oriented House Assistant to help sustain ideal working and living conditions for ~30 artists in residence. We are looking for a hard-working team player who will center MacDowell's core value of care for artists in their stewardship of studios and common spaces. This position is full-time, 32 hours a week, from 7a to 12-2p daily. Prior cleaning experience, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 25-40 lbs. required. Responsibilities O Clean studios, dorms, and public buildings following organizational standards O Sweep, scrub, vacuum, dust, assist with waste removal, and similar duties O Launder linens O Special event preparation, including Medal Day on June 29, 2025 O Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment for artists, staff, and guests Compensation Compensation based on experience ($18-21/hr), non-exempt, benefits include employer paid health and dental insurance; medical and dependent care FSA; contributions to 403(b)-retirement account; generous paid time off.
