A Shift- Sun, Mon, Tues, alt Wed 5:40am-6:00pm
Job Duties
- Understand basic product processes.
- Operate winders and packaging machines on both production lines.
- Operate banding equipment efficiently.
- Print and apply pallet labels accurately.
- Load and stack reworked material safely.
- Track, manage, and report scrap and seconds accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (good housekeeping).
- Monitor alarms and respond appropriately to signals.
- Assist with web break repairs.
- Support threading and product changeover procedures.
- Contribute to training and development of team members.
- Identify and proactively engage in learning opportunities to build expertise.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and processes.
- All other duties as assigned or needed.
Other
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate.
- Support the training and development of colleagues.
- Demonstrates flexibility to changing priorities as business needs dictate.
- Identify and participate, proactively, in learning opportunities, and develop expertise in those areas.
- Follow standard operating procedures and processes.
- Can and is willing to make decisions. Know the chain of command to get support.
- Regular attendance on site and the ability to rotate varying shifts.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The employee should hold the following skills and abilities:
- Demonstrates a positive work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to identify and report safety issues.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task while having a high attention to detail
- Basic mathematics skills
- Able to effectively communicate (read, write, speak, understand) English
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES
The employee must be able to:
- Work with a computer to perform basic data entry
- Demonstrate basic computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Pallet labeling system (MII), Ignition and SAP.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing or process related experience preferred.
