Production Planner
Location: Greenfield, MA
Pay: $29–$35 per hour
BETE is seeking a Production Planner to keep work moving efficiently through our manufacturing facility and help ensure customer orders ship on time. You’ll coordinate with production, purchasing, engineering, inventory, and customer service to balance shop capacity, manage inventory, and set achievable delivery dates.
What you’ll do
- Release production jobs to the shop floor and select appropriate machine plans and manufacturing paths.
- Monitor workloads and work with shop leaders to resolve bottlenecks and adjust schedules.
- Provide delivery estimates and alert Customer Service when an order may be delayed.
- Process change orders, update active jobs, and create purchase orders with clear vendor requirements.
- Manage finished goods and work in process inventory using demand, lead times, and inventory data.
- Identify practical improvements to planning processes and support related engineering and materials planning work as needed.
What you’ll bring
- A high school diploma or GED and at least three years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- An understanding of manufacturing capacity, scheduling, and inventory.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while collaborating across teams.
