Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide essential social, emotional, and behavioral support as a school-based clinician serving approximately 24 high school students in a drop-in model. This role involves conducting individual counseling sessions, facilitating small groups, and managing crises, contributing significantly to students well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and small group social work services tailored to high school students
  • Address behavioral and emotional challenges through evidence-based interventions
  • Manage crisis situations promptly and effectively, ensuring student safety and support
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to create a supportive environment
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and comply with confidentiality standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required
  • Prior school-based clinical experience working with high school-aged students mandatory
  • Strong understanding of social-emotional development and behavioral interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student populations
  • Ability to manage confidential information and handle crises calmly and professionally
  • Reliable transportation for timely arrival and departure

Location and Schedule:

  • Position available at a high school in the Springfield, MA area
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week
  • Start date as soon as possible through June 25, 2026
  • Contract duration covers the current school year with a positive impact on students
