Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in Vergennes, Vermont in a Long-term Contract position. This opportunity is well suited for someone beginning a career in finance or administration who brings strong computer skills, careful attention to detail, and dependable onsite attendance. The person in this role will support day-to-day invoice handling and document verification while receiving structured training to build confidence and accuracy in the process.
Responsibilities:
• Process incoming invoices accurately and in a timely manner by entering payment details into the appropriate system.
• Compare purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to confirm that documentation is complete and aligned before moving items forward.
• Apply correct invoice coding and maintain organized records to support efficient accounts payable operations.
• Assist with routine payment preparation activities, including support for check run processes as directed.
• Review submitted documents for completeness and flag items that require additional follow-up from the broader team.
• Maintain consistent onsite attendance and follow established procedures to help keep daily workload on schedule.• Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn new systems and data entry processes quickly.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial documents and entering information.
• Ability to follow defined procedures and complete repetitive tasks with consistency.
• Reliable onsite attendance and a detail-oriented approach to daily responsibilities.
