Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Commercial Loan Coordinator supports the commercial lending team by facilitating the loan process from origination to closing. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient communication between internal departments, lenders, and clients.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

- Assists with member loan closings and prepares them for review by a loan officer. Follows up on the loan package for completeness and monitors the loan closing checklist. Manages the appraisal function within the department including reviewing the appraisals for compliance and completeness.- Assists other employees with information regarding commercial business products and services. Trains new staff members as needed in available commercial products and services. Supports the branches and members with inbound/outbound calls, coordinates schedules for department loan closings, addresses member concerns or questions in a timely manner. Makes initial collection calls on delinquent accounts.- Input and update loan information in the lending system and maintain accurate records. Assist with loan files, monitoring titles, Mortgages, UCC filings and Tax Escrows.- Liaise with clients, underwriters, attorneys, appraisers, and title companies to ensure timely processing and closing of loans. Manage the payment of invoices issued by vendors. Accurately prepares and balance GL recon reports.- Provide administrative support to loan officers and relationship managers as needed.
- Prepares other reports as needed within the department. Coordinates loan audit information as needed. Remain current with technology used by the department to assist the members.- Continue personal development and learning in role. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, procedures, and regulations (e.g., UCC, SBA, real estate)

Education
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal SkillsWork involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Other Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with loan processing systems (e.g., Fiserv or Jack Henry) is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 20 pounds, ability to bend and reach.
