Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and their families to identify strengths and areas of need related to their medical diagnoses and life situations.
- Formulate, develop, and implement tailored treatment plans employing a variety of social work interventions and therapeutic modalities.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate social work goals into the broader care plan.
- Facilitate patient and family engagement in the care planning process, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Manage discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare providers and insurers to create smooth transitions from the clinic to community support.
- Educate patients and families about coping strategies regarding illness and life adjustments, enhancing their adaptive capacities.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, utilizing both brief and long-term therapeutic techniques within individual, group, and family therapy contexts.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues, offering insights and expertise in psychosocial practices as well as providing staff training on relevant social work topics.
- Assume responsibility for the clinical evaluation of patients experiencing emotional distress due to oncology illnesses, providing appropriate interventions and short-term counseling.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address after-hours crises, ensuring constant availability for urgent situations.
- When necessary, initiate involuntary examinations under the applicable legislation and ensure safe transfers for patients requiring immediate care.
- Present at educational conferences, sharing expertise in psychosocial oncology practices and contributing to the professional knowledge base within the community.
- Engage with the broader community through education, consultation, and research initiatives that support cancer survivors and mental health advocacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
