Imagine starting your day at 6:45 a.m. on a modern production floor where precision and teamwork fuel everything we do. At Teknor Apex—family-led since 1924—you’ll help craft specialized compounds used by manufacturers around the globe. Every shift, you’ll support a tradition of quality that spans the U.S., Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China.
A Day in the Life
- Begin with a safety check: you’ll look out for yourself and your teammates.
- Review work orders and verify manufacturing data—item and lot numbers, quantities, and documentation.
- Run and monitor blending and extrusion processes, keeping machines within spec.
- Record production details clearly and accurately on required forms.
- Keep the area clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Use basic computer skills to complete ongoing training modules and log activity.
Schedule and Overtime
Our rotating 12-hour schedule gives you seven workdays every two weeks:
- Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Day shift: 6:45 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Night shift: 6:45 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Built-in overtime includes Sundays and hours beyond 40 each week; voluntary overtime is also available.
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying item/lot numbers and quantities.
- Clear, legible documentation skills.
- Commitment to housekeeping and a safe workplace.
- Comfort with basic computer tasks for e-learning and data entry.
Advanced Skills We Value
- Experience with blending and extruder operations.
- Troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Leadership capabilities on the floor.
- Proper, safe operation of forklifts.
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 55 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Regularly climb, bend, and stretch.

Preferred Proficiencies
- Troubleshooting skills and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Food and beverage manufacturing exposure.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10).
- Blending, weighing raw materials, and setting up machines for production runs.
