Job DescriptionCNC Swiss Lathe ProgrammerJob Summary:
Seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer to set up, program, and operate Citizen and Star Swiss-style CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently on 2–3 machines simultaneously, develop and modify programs offline using Esprit software, and manufacture precision components to extremely tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate Citizen and Star Swiss CNC lathes.
- Create and edit programs offline using Esprit software.
- Run and monitor 2–3 machines at a time while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Machine parts ranging from .032" diameter down to tolerances of .0002".
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to optimize production.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Experience programming and operating Star and Citizen Swiss CNC machines.
- Proficiency with Esprit CAM software.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to read and use micrometers and precision measuring equipment.
- Experience holding tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
