Will-Mor Manufacturing is a leading precision CNC manufacturer building complex, tight-tolerance components for aerospace and defense. We’re expanding our team with Mill and Lathe experts on our 1st and 2nd shifts.
A day in this role
You arrive, review the job router, and stage your work. You load fixtures in the machine with blank parts to be machined—or a previously machined part—for the specific operation identified on the router. You verify coolant and oil levels, then set up CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills (4-axis with palletizing) as well as CNC Turning and Manual Turning. Throughout the run, you utilize measuring devices to confirm part characteristics meet conformance requirements, documenting results on inspection records and logging production, quality, and scrap counts on the router. If a machine issue arises or measurements drift outside limits, you promptly seek supervisory help. Changeovers and setups are part of the rhythm, ensuring the next operation is ready to go.
Core responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Vertical & Horizontal Mills (4-axis with palletizing).
- Set up and operate CNC Turning and Manual Turning equipment.
- Load fixtures with blanks or in-process parts per the job router for part-specific operations.
- Use precision measuring devices to verify conformance and record values on inspection documents.
- Escalate to supervision if machines fail or measurements move outside limits.
- Document daily production, quality, and scrap counts on the router.
- Check and maintain proper coolant and oil function levels.
Skills & experience
- CNC machining background, ideally including CNC Turning Centers with up to 12 turrets and CNC Mill machines.
- Experience in the defense and aerospace sectors.
- AS9100 familiarity is a plus.
- Ability to read GD&T and interpret prints.
- Proficient with all common precision measuring tools.
