Creative Financial Staffing is partnered with a nonprofit organization seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team.

- Overseeing 4 employees, the Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and works closely with the CFO

\nResponsibilities of the Assistant Controller:

- \n
- Oversee the month-end close process including reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end financial statements
- Track investments, endowment, and grant revenue recognition
- Manage post-award grants management
- Partner with IT for any process improvement or integrations
- Manage 4 employees including reviewing work, providing feedback, and providing coaching
- Support the annual audit

Background Expected of the Assistant Controller:

- \n
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or experience equivalent (+4 years)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Experience in nonprofit accounting and grants management required
- CPA certification is a plus but not required

Salary range, depending on experience:
$85,000 - 110,000
