Inside Sales / Customer Service Specialist ~ (Boston Metro Area)

We are actively seeking Inside Sales / Customer Service Specialists with strong experience in contact center positions, preferably in appointment setting for an outside sales team. This is a full-time, on-site, contract-to-hire role in Boston (Woburn, MA) - supporting the company's growing portfolio of home improvement offerings.

The Inside Sales Specialist will assume responsibility for handling inbound and outbound calls to engage interested prospects as part of the organization’s customer acquisition efforts. In this role, the ideal candidate will strive for exceptional customer experience and serve as an advisor to prospective customers, scheduling appointments for the outside sales team. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a strong phone presence, coupled with technical proficiency in various computer systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Field inbound and outbound calls to engage interested prospects as part of our customer acquisition efforts.
  • Build rapport and trust with potential customers and generate consultation appointments for the outside sales department.
  • Handle inbound prospects from a variety of marketing sources, including TV, Radio, Facebook, SEO, and direct mail.
  • Place outbound calls to highly qualified leads—no cold calls—to set a minimum of 2 qualified appointments per hour.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (Five9 experience is a plus) and follow appointment-setting scripts.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1+ year of experience handling inbound and outbound calls in a performance-driven environment.
  • Must be tech-savvy and familiar with data entry and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to type 40 WPM or more.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask while engaging with customers and navigating multiple platforms efficiently.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to speak with confidence and empathy.
  • Must be available to work 11AM – 8PM shifts, with every other weekend mandatory.
