Position Summary:

We seek an organized, positive, self-motivated team player to join our accounting team. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the VP and collaborate with 3rd party accounting team and sales personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage payment software and deposit entries through company CRM & accounting software
  • Responsible for bookkeeping of a company business unit and oversees all bookkeeping activities.
  • Prepare bank deposits, cash banks prior to events and reconcile cash banks post event.
  • Calculate sales commissions and prepare reports for the Sales team.
  • Calculate venue commissions and prepare reports for clients and ownership.
  • Communicate with clients to review account statements
  • Maintain company credit card account accuracy and receipt reconciliation.
  • Reconcile sales receipts in POS Software (Toast) to bank deposits and QuickBooks.
  • Play an important role in the month-end close which requires one Saturday per month in office
  • Manage AP process utilizing payables software and communicate with 3rd party vendors and purveyors
  • Calculate monthly sales and meals tax; make state payments in state portal
  • Prepare annual 1099s for tax purposes.
  • Assist the VP and Finance team with projects and other accounting/administrative tasks.
  • Receive and distribute mail; handle filing as needed for accounting and administrative documents
  • Assist with other accounting related activities as needed to support the accounting team

Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks, Bill.com, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong reconciliation and balance sheet analysis skills.
  • General ledger experience and understanding of monthly financial statement reporting
  • Highly responsible and able to manage confidential information
  • Detail oriented and organized
