Summary:
The Utility / VMI is responsible for supporting daily facility, warehouse, inventory, and customer
delivery operations by maintaining a safe, clean workplace and accurately receiving, storing, replenishing,
and delivering products.
Utility Responsibilities:
• Maintain indoor and outdoor facilities; keep office, warehouse, and common areas clean and
orderly.
• Sweep, wash, and vacuum floors; clean restrooms; empty trash; dispose of waste and cardboard.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, switches, and restroom fixtures.
• Complete minor repairs, replace bulbs and lamps, prepare and paint walls, and wash windows.
• Set up room furniture and maintain janitorial and maintenance supplies.
• Remove snow and apply salt; operate a snow blower when needed.
• Assist contractors and coworkers; work overtime on short notice when required.
VMI / Warehouse Responsibilities:
• Receive, process, store, pick, pack, label, and prepare inventory according to purchase orders and
procedures.
• Use barcode scanners, weight-count scales, label printers, and the warehouse management
system.
• Read inventory transactions, locate orders, replenish VMI stock, and help prevent product loss.
• Break down large lots and prepare suitable packaging for distributed products.
• Load and unload trucks and safely operate approved warehouse tools and equipment.
• Load products and complete box-truck deliveries safely, accurately, and on time.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and VMI work areas; assist team members as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma and at least 3 years of related experience.
• Warehouse knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with building materials.
• Experience with chemicals and compounds; ability to prepare and paint walls.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to operate a box truck.
• Current forklift operator certification preferred; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organization, accuracy, communication, teamwork, judgment, and safe work practices.
Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Related warehouse, VMI, delivery, facilities, maintenance, or similar work experience preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment and performing product deliveries preferred
