Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for running and maintaining an automated screw machine. This includes loading the machine with raw materials, setting up the machine, and unloading it. The candidate will also inspect the finished products before sending them to the next workstation. Routine maintenance, such as oil changes and coolant changes, is required.
Responsibilities
- Run and maintain an automated screw machine.
- Load and unload the machine with raw materials.
- Set up the machine for operation.
- Inspect finished products before sending them to the next workstation.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes and coolant changes.
- Sweep, clean, and mop the work area.
- Pack and unpack materials.
- Move raw materials and remove finished products from bins.
- Monitor the machine while the operator is on break without making adjustments.
Essential Skills
- Experience with oil changes and machine operation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of production processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to complete a math and mechanical aptitude test.

This is a manufacturing environment where the candidate will work alongside an assigned Machine Operator. Safety is the top priority, and the candidate will follow directions from the assigned Machine Operator.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
