Anaerobic Digestion Process Engineer (Biochemical / Biological Systems)
Role Summary
N.O.E. is engaging an Anaerobic Digestion Process Engineer to act as the biological authority for its digestion systems. This role owns microbial performance, stability, and recovery—not hardware or controls.
Core Responsibilities

Define operating envelopes for temperature, pH, loading rates, and retention time

Specify feedstock strategies and inoculation procedures

Monitor digestion health (VFA, alkalinity, gas yield trends)

Develop SOPs for startup, steady-state operation, and upset recovery

Advise controls and AI teams on biologically meaningful signals

Support pilot validation and performance reporting
Required Background

Experience with anaerobic digestion, biogas, or industrial biological systems
-
Practical, operations-oriented mindset (not academic-only)

Familiarity with municipal or agricultural feedstocks preferred
