The Double Tree is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team and ensure that our guests enjoy a clean and comfortable stay. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping department, including supervising staff, inspecting rooms, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising all facets of the Housekeeping Department ensuring high levels of guest service and satisfaction. Includes rooms, laundry, public areas, work areas and department storage.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times

- Enforce policies and procedures

- Ensure quality services and enhanced guest relations when meeting guests needs

- Maintain room quality based on hotel standards

- Monitor and maintain level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms and public areas

- Maintain productivity and labor cost goals

- Check all vacant and clean rooms, public space, storage areas and housekeeping carts daily

- Inspect all rooms cleaned by new associates daily

- Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff

- Assist General Manager in associate performance evaluations, training and development

- Ability to work well with a diverse group of people


Additional Duties

- Prepare daily assignment sheets for housekeeping associates

- Compile and report accurate status of guestrooms to front office

- Enforce standard procedures for the acceptance, security, and return of guest lost and found items

- Maintain department key control

- Maintain deep cleaning program

- Assist General Manager with monthly department meetings

- Complete projects as determined by management

- Actively seeks out other tasks when current work is complete

- Act as Manager on Duty when assigned

- Participate in ongoing education and training

- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Education or Experience- High school diploma or GED equivalent; one to two years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Language Skills- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: read, analyze and interpret business documents such as government regulations, safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to speak professionally and effectively, present information, and respond to questions from management, clients, customers and the general public

- Mathematical Skills- Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, rate and percent. Possesses sharp ability for attention to detail (able to quickly identify variances in standards), working efficiently and flexibly. Ability to multi-task and be highly organized.

- Reasoning Ability- Must have developed reasoning skills to be able to: solve practical problems and deal with variety of situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.


Physical Requirements

- Non-slip shoes are recommended

- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check

- Requires walking and standing to a significant degree, reaching, climbing (ladder), balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, handling, talking, hearing, smelling and seeing

- Lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying or transporting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

- Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Potential exposure to paint, solvents, cleaning chemicals and/or fumes
