Why This Role Matters

At 1001 N Montello St, Brockton, MA 02301, you’ll be the hands-on expert ensuring production machinery runs safely and reliably. You’ll report to the Plant Manager and collaborate with the maintenance team, product manager, plant engineer, and an electrician to support new product rollouts and continuous improvement. This is a temporary-to-hire position with room to grow.

Your Mission

• Own preventive maintenance: plan and perform inspections, services, and lubrication to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Keep equipment spotless and precise: clean thoroughly, disassemble/reassemble, and verify alignment and operation.
• See problems early: log damaged or worn components and initiate orders for replacements.
• Fix breakdowns fast: troubleshoot root causes, repair efficiently, and confirm performance with test runs.
• Adapt for what’s next: modify machinery for new products and fine-tune until spec and throughput are met.
• Bring order to the shop: organize tools, manage parts inventory, and file accurate service reports.
• Schedule smart: coordinate with managers to slot PMs with minimal production disruption.
• Pitch in on facility upkeep within the manufacturing environment.
• Take on other related tasks as assigned.

Experience That Helps

• Vocational/community college coursework or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Comfort working alongside the maintenance department, Plant Manager, and an electrician.

Physical Demands

• On your feet and moving—standing and walking for long periods.
• Bend, stretch, push, and pull to reach, clean, and service equipment.
• Good visual inspection capability.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
