Job DescriptionWe are looking for qualified blending operators for 1st and 2nd shift. **Key Responsibilities**
• Assist in setting up, calibrating, and operating blending machines.
• Measure and weigh raw materials according to established recipes and specifications.
• Load ingredients into blending equipment and start blending processes.
• Support loading and unloading of bulk liquids from tank trucks and rail cars using pumps, valves, and pipeline systems.
• Monitor tank levels, flow rates, and equipment performance using gauges and instrumentation.
• Inspect pipelines, valves, and fittings to identify leaks or malfunctions and report issues to maintenance.
• Draw samples and perform basic laboratory tests such as viscosity and density.
• Monitor blending operations and adjust settings as directed.
• Perform basic quality checks to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Accurately document production data, blending activities, and inventory records using ERP systems.
• Communicate operational updates, irregularities, and production needs to team members and supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory safety standards.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Required Skills & Abilities**
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation and maintenance.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to use computers and ERP systems for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safe work practices at all times.
**Minimum Qualifications**
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certifications or manufacturing training preferred.
• Prior experience in a blending or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Basic understanding of measurement systems and production processes.
• Ability to obtain forklift and pallet jack certification.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to production demands.
**Physical Requirements**
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while operating equipment.
• Ability to lift and move materials and tools up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to apply up to 80 lbs of force when handling hoses and equipment.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders to access tanks, rail cars, and elevated equipment.
• Ability to work in varying physical positions, including standing, bending, reaching, and overhead work.
• Ability to operate hand tools and computer equipment.
• Ability to hear, communicate, and observe effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment and machinery in a production facility.
