Renew Energy Partners is an Energy-as-a-Service platform that develops, finances, and operates critical behind-the-meter energy infrastructure for commercial & industrial customers across the United States. We are a private equity-banked platform with proven track record of operating assets and are positioned for substantial growth. As we scale our business, we are looking for a Project Finance Associate to support the Director of Capital Markets and other senior leaders in financing and closing new project investments.

Position Overview
\n
\n
The Project Finance Associate will play a critical role in building and maintaining financial models, pricing deals, and supporting debt and ITC transactions. This role reports to the Director of Capital Markets and works closely with the Business Development and Engineering teams, as well as external lenders and investors. We're looking for a confident self-starter with strong modeling skills, sharp attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

\n
- \n
- Build, own, and maintain project and portfolio-level financial models to assess the commercial viability of projects, including cash flow, sensitivity, and scenario analysis.
- Support construction, term debt, and ITC financing transactions from term sheet through financial close.
- Prepare investment memoranda, lender/investor presentations, and other materials to support capital raising and internal decision-making.
- Assist with coordinating financial, legal, and technical due diligence, working closely with outside counsel, independent engineers, and other third-party advisors.
- Analyze PPA terms, development and construction costs, and financing structures to evaluate project bankability and returns.
- Engage directly with offtakers, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Track market trends, policy developments (including IRA/tax credit guidance), and valuation benchmarks relevant to renewable energy financing.
- Help identify and implement process improvements across financial modeling, reporting, and deal execution workflows.

Qualifications
\n
\n
- \n
- 2–5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, commercial real estate, or a related role, ideally with exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, or other hard-asset industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or demonstrated relevant experience.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including project-level cash flow modeling, sensitivity/scenario analysis, and valuation frameworks.
- Familiarity with tax equity structures (e.g., partnership flips), debt financing mechanics, and renewable energy tax incentives is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines with precision in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- High degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm for renewable energy and sustainability.

- Direct project or structured finance transaction experience.
- Experience with electricity markets and PPA or lease structuring.
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential.
