Role Description The CNC Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dover, NH. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, loading materials, and adjusting machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency. The CNC Machinist will inspect parts using measurement tools, document production data, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues. The role also involves routine machine maintenance, adherence to safety procedures, and contributing to process improvements on the shop floor.\n

- Experience with CNC machine setup, operation, and basic programming, including selecting tooling and optimizing machining parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, with strong attention to dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
- Proficiency using precision measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and documenting quality checks.
- Solid understanding of machining processes, materials, and shop math, including feeds, speeds, and basic trigonometry.
- Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and routine machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar precision manufacturing role; trade school or technical certification in machining is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
