Position Overview
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This will include addressing gaps in process procedures and facilitating the development of appropriate metrics for Quality Processes. Help the transition to ISO 9001:2026 in the upcoming years
- Support the Customer Care Program (CCP). This may include:
- Composing responses to customers regarding quality issues
- Proposing warranty decisions
- Organizing customer feedback to uncover systematic problems and trends
- Investigations of returned products from customer complaints including writing reports of findings.
- Leading cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Developing and reporting on CCP metrics on a regular basis.
- Assist with ISO and Customer Audits, Audit Responses and Customer Requests.
- Participate in Internal audit process.
- Analyze quality data and performance trends.
- Manage the First Article Inspection / Incoming Inspection process and laboratory.
- Review and sign certificate of quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree In Engineering or STEM related disciple
- 2+ years of experience focused on quality management in a manufacturing environment
- Current knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standards
What will put you ahead:
- 5+ Years experience in Manufacturing Quality environment
- Use of programs such as MiniTab, SQC Pack, Microsoft SharePoint
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to see and respond to at-risk situations.
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear when in industrial locations.
- Must be able sit for longer periods of time as well as move about throughout the office and production, / laboratory environment.
