We are seeking a dependable Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role requires attention to detail, basic mechanical skills, and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machinery according to production specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
• Inspect products regularly to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Accurately record production data, quality checks, and operational information.
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot simple machine issues and report major equipment concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Assist with material handling and other production-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Experience operating extrusion equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility with extrusion production equipment.
• Industrial environment requiring adherence to safety standards.
• Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other protective equipment as needed.
• Exposure to production noise, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with shift differential offered for off-shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Grafton, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
