We are seeking a dependable Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role requires attention to detail, basic mechanical skills, and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate extrusion machinery according to production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
- Inspect products regularly to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Accurately record production data, quality checks, and operational information.
- Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot simple machine issues and report major equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Assist with material handling and other production-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred.
- Experience operating extrusion equipment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with extrusion production equipment.
- Industrial environment requiring adherence to safety standards.
- Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other protective equipment as needed.
- Exposure to production noise, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
- Available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with shift differential offered for off-shifts.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Grafton, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
