Alsco Uniforms is looking for a Sort Table Operator, responsible for receiving cleaned textiles from finishing machines, inspecting them for quality, and sorting/bundling them for customer delivery. This role works in the production area of an industrial laundry facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting & Inspection: Grasp items from conveyors, belts, or carts and sort them by type, size, and color.
- Quality Control: Grade textiles according to quality standards and identify damaged or stained items.
- Bundling & Packaging: Assemble and bundle clean garments or linens by hand, following specific packing instructions or packing slips.
- Transfer: Move finished bundles to assembly areas using carts or conveyor systems.
- Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, and comply with safety and efficiency standards.
Alsco Uniforms is looking for a Sort Deck Operator, responsible for handling, sorting, and counting soiled textiles (uniforms, linens, towels) arriving from customers at an industrial laundry facility. They work on the "sort deck" to prepare these items for the washing process, ensuring accuracy and quality control. Glassdoor
Core Responsibilities
- Sorting and Counting: Open bags of soiled textiles and sort them by type, size, and color. Count items manually or electronically before moving them to the washing systems.
- Quality Inspection: Identify damaged or heavily soiled garments and record them into the sorting system.
- Material Handling: Operate machinery such as cart dumpers or conveyors to move linens to the washing area.
- Documentation: Record incoming soiled linen data to ensure accurate customer billing and inventory management.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work area, adhere to all safety procedures (including OSHA standards), and properly use personal protective equipment.
Alsco Uniforms is looking for multiple Feeder-Folders sorts, inspects, and feeds clean textiles (uniforms, linens) into machines or folds them by hand, ensuring quality standards and production goals are met. This is an industrial laundry production role requiring consistent, fast-paced physical work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Textile Processing: Sort, inspect, and grade clean garments/linens for damage or stains.
- Machine Operation/Folding: Feed items into automatic ironing or folding machinery or fold items by hand.
- Packaging & Sorting: Bundle finished products and pack according to client orders.
- Productivity & Quality: Maintain accurate sorting and meet production speed standards.
- Material Handling: Move linen carts, bins, and slings, and maintain a clean workspace.
