Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is looking to hire a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant in Framingham, MA.
Job Title: Senior Corporate Tax Accountant
Location: Framingham, MA
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $59–$69 per hour on W-2
Work Arrangement: Hybrid; 3 days onsite, with remote flexibility available for the right candidate
Schedule: Regular business hours, approximately 40 hours per week

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to support income tax accounting, tax compliance, tax return preparation, and tax audit activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ONESOURCE, along with a solid understanding of ASC 740 income tax provision accounting.
This is a hands-on tax role suited for a senior-level tax professional who can independently manage tax-related activities and provide timely support for federal and state tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and support federal and state corporate income tax returns and compliance activities.
- Utilize ONESOURCE for tax compliance and/or income tax provision activities.
- Support ASC 740 income tax provision accounting, including tax provision calculations, current and deferred tax, and related analysis.
- Assist with tax accounting and reporting activities for public-company/SEC reporting requirements.
- Compile and analyze tax information to support accurate and timely tax filings and responses.
- Research and respond to Federal and State tax notices, audit requests, and inquiries.
- Assist with state tax compliance, annual reports, and related filings.
- Work with internal teams and external tax advisors as needed on tax compliance and audit matters.
- Assist with tax-related data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Support sales/use tax and property tax activities as needed.
- Work with tax technology and systems, including ONESOURCE and, where applicable, Vertex.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level experience in corporate income tax, tax accounting, or tax compliance.
- Strong hands-on experience using ONESOURCE for tax return/compliance and/or tax provision activities.
- Experience with ASC 740 income tax provision accounting.
- Experience preparing or reviewing corporate federal and state tax returns.
- Experience handling state tax notices, tax audits, and audit requests.
- Experience with state tax compliance and annual reports.
- Strong accounting and auditing experience.
- Ability to independently research tax issues, analyze information, and communicate findings clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or other relevant tax/accounting certification.
- Experience supporting public-company SEC reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, data analytics, or data visualization.
- Experience with Vertex and sales/use tax.
- Experience with property tax matters.
- Public accounting experience with corporate tax clients.
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate may come from either a public accounting or corporate/in-house tax environment and should be able to demonstrate meaningful, hands-on use of ONESOURCE. Candidates whose experience is limited primarily to ONESOURCE implementation or system configuration are not the target profile for this position.

- 6-month W-2 contract
