We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, full-time Accounting Analyst for our Agawam, MA facility.

Position Purpose
This position has primary day-to-day responsibilities for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as well as supporting the monthly financial closing. Position works closely with various members of the business unit. Periodic interaction with corporate finance.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Participate in the month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions/confirmations.
- Provide support to Corporate office with monthly deliverables.
- Responsible for all A/R tasks including cash receipts, cash collections, aging reports and daily sales invoicing.
- Responsible for all A/P tasks including timely processing of invoices and weekly payment runs and Sales and Use Tax submission.
- Maintain the vendor master for new vendor additions or changes to existing vendors.
- Post daily inventory receipts and reconcile the receipts not invoiced report
- Track monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
- Track controllable costs weekly and provide actuals to plant management; provide assistance to Controller on forecasting upcoming monthly expenses.
- Provide support to Corporate office on monthly deliverables.
- Track temporary employee hours and provide data to the team and HR
- Perform ad hoc projects and analyses as directed.
- Responsible to follow all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- BA or BS in Accounting or a related field
- 2+ years of general accounting, A/P, and A/R experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with IQMS Manufacturing ERP system a plus
- Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and using advanced Excel functions of Pivot Tables, VLookups and XLookups.
- Great organization skills, with an ability to successfully multi-task and a strong commitment to improving efficiency, timeliness, quality, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and/or with limited instruction. Being a self-starter is preferred.
- Focus on process improvements of existing processes to eliminate waste
Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
