This is a temporary full time role starting in March through October. Hours are 6:30am-7pm Monday-Wednesday
Are you a certified technician or an experienced vet assistant interested in learning new innovative therapies? In our dermatology department, you will find yourself assisting our Veterinarian on the Dermatology Service with patient support during various dermatology procedures. Our Dermatology Assistants and technicians build a close relationship with their clients as they provide them with extensive education throughout their pet’s ongoing treatment.
If you have a working knowledge of veterinary terminology and abbreviations, college level math (calculations, formulations, metric conversions, etc.), and current experience in patient restraint, you have the experience we are looking for. Duties include running appointment blocks, performing skin and ear cytology, and allergy testing. The right candidate can expect on-the-job training on microscopy, as well as surgical assistance. This position holds vast learning potential!
COMPENSATION:
Veterinary Assistants starting $22-$27/hour
Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $25-$30/hr, $5000 Sign on Bonus for CVTs!
