Job Description

Job DescriptionYour day, your impact

By 7:00 AM, you’re walking the floor—listening for the hum of motors, scanning gauges on compressors, and confirming HVAC set points. Before lunch, you’ve knocked out scheduled PMs on pumps and wet dust collectors, logged inspections on fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, and coordinated a vendor to service an oven. Afternoon brings a quick weld on a cracked guard, building a custom crate for a spare conveyor section, and updating the parts inventory so tomorrow’s work starts ready to go.

What you’ll own

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance across facility and production support systems: HVAC, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, wet dust collection, ovens, motors, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic equipment
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to rapidly restore uptime
  • Routine safety checks (fire extinguishers, emergency lights, eyewash stations) and documentation to keep us compliant
  • Execution and continuous improvement of PM schedules and checklists
  • Spare parts tracking and inventory control
  • Safe use of hand/power tools, diagnostic instruments, and welding equipment
  • General facilities work—carpentry, painting, and small repairs—to keep the site in top shape
  • Coordination with outside contractors and vendors for specialized tasks
  • Custom pallet and crate fabrication for equipment and material moves
  • Accurate maintenance and inspection recordkeeping

What you bring

  • Experience in facilities or industrial maintenance—ideally supporting a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Hands-on background with motors, pumps, conveyors, ovens, and dust collection
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Comfort with diagnostic tools (such as multimeters)
  • Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call needs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)

Preferred extras

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Lockout/Tagout experience
  • Forklift and aerial lift operation
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and RCRA requirements
  • pH meter calibration experience
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills
  • Personal set of basic mechanical hand tools

Schedule and pay

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Compensation: Up to $36.00 per hour (based on experience)

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Employee assistance program
