Job Description
Dedicated Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) account, regional dry van, drop and hook and no-touch, paying an average of $1,850 to $2,000 a week on a five-day schedule: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with two days off in a row. Start times fall between 4am and 7am, and the sleeper tractor is assigned to you.
Payroll runs every week. Here is how a week adds up:
- $0.60 a mile on regional runs
- $6 per stop and $6 per drop and hook
- Short haul: $15 for 0 to 50 miles round trip, $20 for 51 to 100 miles round trip
- Detention: $17.50 an hour after the first hour
- Breakdown time is paid
- Sixth day: $100 when voluntary, $50 on rotation
- $5,000 sign-on bonus: $125 a week for your first 12 weeks, $1,000 at 6 months, $1,000 at 9 months and $1,500 at 12 months
There is no slip seating. The tractor stays at the drop sites, not at your home. There is no forced dispatch, so you are not pushed onto loads. A rider 18 or older may come along; pets are not allowed.
Benefits as a W-2 driver: medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage from day one, a 401(k) with a company match, paid time off and six paid holidays.
To be hired you need:
- a valid Class A CDL
- 1 year of experience in the last 3 years
- to be 21 or older (federal DOT rules require it for interstate driving)
- a home within 30 miles of one of the account's hiring points
- the ability to meet DOT and company hiring standards
Orientation is in person before your first run.
Once you apply, we call to go over both schedules and the hiring area with you, so you know where you fit before anything else. Apply through this posting. Apply on a weekday during business hours and you hear from us the same day; apply any later and we call the next business day.
