Job Title: Spray Finisher for Cabinets, Doors &Furniture
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cabinet Spray Finisher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming kitchen cabinets, doors, and drawer fronts into flawless, factory-smooth masterpieces. Because 90% of a spectacular finish relies on meticulous preparation, we need someone who takes pride in the masking, sanding, and priming stages just as much as the finish coat.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: De-grease, clean, patch, fill dings, and sand cabinet boxes, doors, and drawer faces to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Equipment Operation: Safely set up, operate, clean, and maintain professional spray systems, including HVLP and Airless sprayers.
- Coating Application: Apply primers and premium cabinet enamels/lacquers evenly across flat and vertical surfaces without leaving runs, sags, or dust contamination.
- Quality Control: Sand carefully between coats and inspect finished pieces for consistent texture, thickness, and color matching.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of professional spray-finishing experience, specifically targeting cabinetry, millwork, or furniture finishing.
- Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of spray tip sizes, fluid pressure adjustments, and coating viscosities for different paint lines.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy door stacks, bend repeatedly, and work safely while wearing respirators and safety gear.
- Attention to Detail: An eye for recognizing minor surface imperfections before the final paint layer is locked in.
- Reliability: Strong punctuality and respect for maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Job Details & Compensation
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay Rate: $25 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience
- Location: Based out of our shop in Tewksbury, Massachusetts with [occasional / on-site residential travel.
