Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Giguere Gymnastics in Leicester, MA is looking for an energetic and dependable EEC After School Program Bus Driver/Group Leader to join our team! This unique dual role puts you at the heart of our after school program — keeping kids safe on the road and engaged once they arrive. Shift:
- Monday - Friday 2:00-5:00pm
- Driving the bus 2:00-3:30pm
- Working in the classroom 3:30-5:00pm
- School 1/2 days 11:00-5:00pm (varies)
- School Vacations off
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students from school to the after school program facility
- Supervise and lead a group of school-age children during after school program hours
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment programs
- Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment for all participants
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and program staff
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and adhere to all transportation safety protocols
- Maintain accurate attendance records and incident reports as required
Requirements:
- Valid Massachusetts CDL with Passenger and School Bus (S) endorsements preferred
- EEC (Early Education and Care) certification or ability to obtain one
- Previous experience working with school-age children in a group setting
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about youth development
