Our innovations support both government and commercial missions in Earth orbit and deep space. We offer a collaborative, hands-on environment where engineers directly impact real space missions.

Summary:
Busek is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to lead and execute the testing and validation of electronic systems used in space propulsion. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, conduct, and analyze tests that ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of our hardware. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with hands-on lab expertise who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead setup, execution, and analysis of tests on electronic hardware, including circuit boards and spacecraft power systems.

  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other instrumentation to collect and interpret data.

  • Develop and refine test procedures, documenting results for internal engineering and external customer reviews.

  • Troubleshoot complex electronics, test setups, and anomalies in collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Support environmental and functional testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum, and EMI/EMC testing.

  • Mentor junior engineers and lab technicians in best practices for testing and documentation.

  • Maintain lab equipment, ensuring safety, organization, and calibration compliance.

Desired skills:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware testing, validation, or related roles.

  • Strong familiarity with lab instrumentation, measurement techniques, and electronic test equipment.

  • Solid understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and components.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (required for government contracts).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB) for automated testing or data analysis.

  • Previous experience in aerospace systems or spaceflight hardware.

  • Leadership or mentorship experience in a lab or test environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. Actual compensation will be determined by the candidate’s experience, education, and alignment with organizational needs.

Why Join Busek?

  • Work on spaceflight hardware with tangible mission impact.

  • Lead testing efforts while collaborating with experienced engineers.

  • Expand expertise across multiple testing and engineering disciplines.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.

Compliance Note:
To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations (ITAR), employment at Busek requires applicants to be:

  • A U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee; or
