Summary:
Busek is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to lead and execute the testing and validation of electronic systems used in space propulsion. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, conduct, and analyze tests that ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of our hardware. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with hands-on lab expertise who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
How you will make an impact:

Lead setup, execution, and analysis of tests on electronic hardware, including circuit boards and spacecraft power systems.

Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other instrumentation to collect and interpret data.

Develop and refine test procedures, documenting results for internal engineering and external customer reviews.

Troubleshoot complex electronics, test setups, and anomalies in collaboration with engineering teams.

Support environmental and functional testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum, and EMI/EMC testing.

Mentor junior engineers and lab technicians in best practices for testing and documentation.

Maintain lab equipment, ensuring safety, organization, and calibration compliance.
Desired skills:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in hardware testing, validation, or related roles.

Strong familiarity with lab instrumentation, measurement techniques, and electronic test equipment.

Solid understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and components.

Proven problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (required for government contracts).
Nice to have:

Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB) for automated testing or data analysis.

Previous experience in aerospace systems or spaceflight hardware.
- Leadership or mentorship experience in a lab or test environment.
The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000. Actual compensation will be determined by the candidate’s experience, education, and alignment with organizational needs.
