Position Overview
We are seeking a contract C# Software Engineer with deep experience developing hardware-based and instrumentation systems. This role is heavily focused on electromechanical systems, motion control, and hardware integration, not UI, GUI, or database-driven software.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support C# (.NET) software for hardware, instrumentation, and test systems
- Work directly with electromechanical platforms, sensors, and controllers
- Implement and debug motion control for precise positioning and alignment
- Integrate and support camera-based positioning and alignment systems
- Perform system-level debugging and troubleshooting on Windows-based systems
- Collaborate with hardware, electrical, and test engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience programming hardware-based systems
- Strong C# (.NET) experience in instrumentation or test environments
- Hands-on experience with:

- Motion control systems
- Sensors and instrumentation
- Camera-based systems
- Experience supporting electromechanical / hardware test systems
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Visual Studio and Git
- Ability to work onsite in Wilmington, MA
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Beckhoff controllers
- Semiconductor handler or semiconductor equipment experience
- Precision positioning and alignment systems
