FULL TIME ROLE - HOURLY RATE: $30-33 per hour with Benefits

About the Opportunity

A well-established professional services organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support its finance team. This position plays a key role in cash application, payment research, account reconciliation, and customer account support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location

Hybrid opportunities available in multiple East Coast locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and apply incoming customer payments accurately and timely.
  • Research and resolve unidentified, unapplied, or pending cash receipts.
  • Respond to accounts receivable inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and resolve finance-related service requests through a ticketing system.
  • Support account adjustments, write-offs, reversals, and reallocations as needed.
  • Partner with collections and accounting teams to ensure proper payment allocation.
  • Maintain accuracy and meet established service-level expectations.
  • Assist with special projects and other finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional accounting coursework is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry functions.
  • Experience working with ERP, accounting, or financial management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a professional and customer-service-focused approach.
