Compensation: $85,000 – $128,000 (DOE)
Travel: Typically ~20% (up to 35% from Concord; up to ~50–70% for remote-based candidates)

Position Overview
The Robotic Controls Engineer will play a key role in the integration, commissioning, and support of advanced robotic and automation systems. This position blends hands-on controls engineering, robotics, and customer-facing project work, supporting custom equipment deployments at customer sites.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys end-to-end ownership, troubleshooting complex automation systems, and working directly with customers to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Integrate, program, and commission robotic and automated equipment at customer facilities

Troubleshoot complex PLC, process I/O, robot communication, and control system issues

Support assembly, setup, testing, and validation of custom and ancillary equipment

Participate in design reviews, process hazard analyses (PHA), and engineering change management

Deliver operator and engineer training to ensure safe and effective system operation

Support field projects with minimal supervision, managing tasks from startup through handoff

Contribute to continuous improvement, engineering standards, and best practices

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and project teams
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field

2–5 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or robotics

Strong troubleshooting skills across PLCs, process I/O, and robot communication

Ability to create and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, including wiring and plumbing schematics

Experience supporting field-based or customer-facing automation projects

Willingness and ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, or similar)

PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)

Commissioning, startup, or applications engineering background

Experience training operators and engineers on automated systems

Familiarity with regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environments
