Director of Finance
The Director of Finance leads the finance team and works with the executive team to guide business strategy. This role ensures accurate financial data, builds long-term budgets, and sets internal controls to reduce risk and protect company assets.

Duties
This role is responsible and accountable for:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Build annual budgets and create long-term financial forecasts with department heads.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure all financial practices follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and lead external audit processes.
- Risk Management: Build and monitor cash flow, capital expenses, and investments while finding ways to reduce financial risks.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train accounting and finance staff to build a strong team.
- Internal Controls: Ensure that Internal controls are in place and are continually policed.
- Expenditure Oversite: Monitor and expenses and capital expenses.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics (Master’s degree or MBA is often preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Certifications: A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and QuickBooks.
