The MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV I -will be responsible for plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment during non-daytime hours. This position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV I will collaborate closely with production teams to quickly address mechanical issues and support continuous manufacturing processes.
Safety awareness is critical to ensure compliance with workplace regulations and to maintain a hazard-free environment during all shifts.
What you’ll do as a MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV I:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and execute timely repairs.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions that impact manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe and efficient work environment during 2nd and 3rd shifts.
We’re looking for a MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV I with:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.
- knowledge of electrical systems and CMMS
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and nights on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Previous experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Basic welding or fabrication skills.

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
- Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
- Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
- Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
- This MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV I position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow, MA facility
