Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and Assembly: Cut, shape, and assemble refractory metal components and structures according to engineering blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Equipment Operation: Set up and operate various fabrication machines, including punches, shears, rollers, dimpling machines, and hand tools for precision cutting and forming.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality control inspections on raw materials and finished products, verifying dimensions and specifications with precision measuring tools.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering and technical drawings to plan fabrication layouts and procedures.
- Material Handling: Handle and transport large, heavy, and often expensive refractory materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve fabrication issues, defects, and discrepancies, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
