Enjoy cooking and making a difference? Bright Futures Early Learning Center is seeking a dependable, organized Cook to prepare nutritious, appealing meals and snacks for the children in our care. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and deliver meals and snacks to classrooms.
- Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.
- Help plan menus, track inventory, and request food and supplies.
- Keep the kitchen, dishes, and equipment clean and sanitized.
- Maintain required food program records and follow food safety guidelines.
Requirements:
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Serv Safe Food Handler and Allergen certifications.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact positively with children.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Three to five years of kitchen experience preferred. Culinary training and experience in a childcare setting are a plus.
