Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator role requires adherence to all safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment. The position involves operating equipment safely, maintaining a clean work area, and participating as a member of work teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost measures.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Participate in work teams and assist in measuring team performance for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Engage in Level 3 activities such as scrap and rework elimination projects and various other kaizen events.
- Work from instructions, prints, inspection plans, layouts, specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Machine parts, load and unload parts, and adjust machine and equipment to maintain required sizes and finishes.
- Conduct piece inspections and make necessary adjustments using various gauges and measuring instruments.
- Meet quality standards while maintaining expected production rates.
- Replace worn or dull tooling.
- Wash and pack parts as required.
- Complete quality and production reports using paper and electronic applications accurately.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machines, including lubrication.
- Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Attend required training programs.
- Assist in the training of other associates in procedures and equipment use.
- Arrange schedules to meet customer needs.
- Use lift equipment to move and position stock and parts safely.
- Perform 5S activities.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of metals, including precious metals.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Ability to lift 35-50 lbs.
- Proficiency in machine operation and assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with machine tending and stamping press.
- Ability to set up machines to start a production cycle.
- Skills in controlling and adjusting machine settings such as speed.
- Experience feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.

Work Environment
The work environment is a machine shop equipped with numerous press machines and stamping machines. The shift hours are 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm. Safety shoes are mandatory for all visitors and workers. Candidates must arrive 10 minutes before appointments,
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
