Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Operates machines to produce parts to specification in an efficient and timely manner.    The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

Principle Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using documentation presented on routing/drawings and program hardcopy.

• Employ use of inspection methods to ensure the quality of production. 

• Ability to perform entry-level problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to run one or more machine types. 

• Maintains housekeeping and safety standards in work area. 

Qualification Requirements Credentials/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience/Educational/Training Preferred

• 0 – 2 years’ experience preferred working in a manufacturing environment.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to load and run machine. 

• Strong team player and flexible to move from one task to another. 

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. 

• Read, write clearly, and follow written procedures. 

• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints. 

• Knowledge and ability to utilize standard measuring equipment. 

• Basic computer skills.   

• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand.
