Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay: $25 -$27.00/hour based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of handheld analytical testing devices. This role involves inspecting, testing, and validating electronic and mechanical assemblies while working closely with production teams to maintain high manufacturing standards and product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect handheld analytical instruments and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality, performance, and customer specifications.
- Perform detailed visual inspections of printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic components, and finished mechanical assemblies.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify dimensions, tolerances, and assembly accuracy.
- Conduct functional testing, calibration, and validation procedures to confirm proper operation of products and test equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document basic mechanical and electronic issues discovered during inspection and testing processes.
- Accurately record inspection findings, test results, and quality data using Excel and other tracking systems.
- Collaborate with assemblers, technicians, and engineering personnel to resolve quality concerns and support corrective actions.
- Follow established quality standards, inspection procedures, and manufacturing documentation to ensure consistent product quality.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area while properly handling sensitive electronic components and precision instruments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring quality trends and recommending process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quality control, quality inspection, electronics manufacturing, or a related production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, or similar inspection equipment.
- Comfortable working with electronic assemblies, PCBs, and small mechanical components.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woburn, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
