Summary Description:
The Business Office at BB&N is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Administrative Assistant to support the Business Office during the summer. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with the broader school community while contributing to key operational initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to take on projects that support the smooth functioning of our school's administrative operations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Key functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the development and maintenance of the school-wide Operations Calendar, including account setup and ongoing data entry.

Support the creation and formatting of a school-wide Organizational Chart using an established template.

Collaborate with the Bursar to assist with records management, including organizing, digitizing, and maintaining administrative files.

Contribute to the Operations Project Tracker by logging updates, monitoring progress, and flagging action items.

Serve as a point of contact for community-facing administrative tasks, supporting cross-departmental communication and engagement with faculty, staff, and families.

Other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Skills, and Competencies:

In keeping with BB&N’s commitment to the community, the Administrative Assistant will be able to exemplify cooperation and collaboration, demonstrate leadership when necessary, and have at least 1-3 years of administrative support experience.
In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

Applicants must be 18 years old.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.

Clear, professional, and culturally responsive communication skills (written and verbal).

Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, file management, document formatting, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Intermediate Excel skills preferred.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and anticipate needs.

Commitment to BB&N's values in daily work.
Salary: $26.00 - $30.00
BB&N offers competitive salaries and benefits, employing equitable and consistent compensation practices. The starting salary for any hired candidate is based on experience within salary bands.
Compensation for eligible full-time and part-time employees includes a 403(b) plan with up to a 10% match of salary and other competitive benefits offerings. Benefits offered to eligible employees include health & dental insurance; commuter benefits; long-term disability insurance, and more.
