Job Title: Forklift Operator III
Location: Lunenburg, MA 01462
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed
Shift Options: 5:00 AM–1:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21.76
Position Summary:
The Forklift Operator III is responsible for safely operating forklifts in a high-volume manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role involves loading and unloading trailers, transporting materials throughout the facility, servicing production lines, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all products are handled safely and efficiently. The position supports daily shipping and receiving operations while adhering to company safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete required safety checklists.
- Safely move, transport, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility.
- Track inventory and material movement using RF scanners and warehouse systems.
- Verify product counts, quantities, descriptions, and quality for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload trailers according to customer requirements and department standards.
- Supply production lines with materials and finished goods as needed.
- Properly palletize, stretch-wrap, and secure products for shipment.
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas, loading docks, and equipment.
- Safely replace propane tanks on forklifts.
- Follow all safety procedures and assist other departments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills, including working with decimals and fractions.
- Ability to read and interpret tape measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts when required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
- Ability to operate a forklift for extended periods, including driving in reverse.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely handle and move materials in a physically demanding setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification within the last 12 months.
- Experience in corrugated manufacturing, warehouse logistics, or shipping and receiving operations.
- Experience using RF scanners and inventory management systems.
