Mercury Wire is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Value Stream Manager to lead our 2nd shift operations. This pivotal role will be responsible for the optimizing production processes by focusing on operational efficiency, eliminating waste, improving product quality, and ensuring superior customer satisfaction. The Senior Value Stream Manager will drive a culture of continuous improvement, foster strong cross-functional collaboration, and provide strong mentorship to the manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Provide direct support and guidance to 2nd shift teams, aligning all activities with established organizational target conditions for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, while strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management & Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. Utilize data-driven insights to identify performance gaps, implement corrective actions, and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion 2nd Shift operations Continuous Improvement actions through the Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work) to achieve measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between production shifts. Collaborate closely with 1st shift support functions, including Master Scheduling, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless handovers, operational alignment, and streamlined production processes.
  • Talent Development & Mentorship: Drive professional growth initiatives for team members, providing coaching and mentorship to support their skill development.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in an ISO Certified production, operations management, or manufacturing leadership roles.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Proven track record of leadership with the demonstrated ability to influence, inspire, and manage diverse teams.
    • Deep proficiency and practical application of Lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement tools.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of effectively engaging with all levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency with standard business computer programs, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
